\u0130rem Altu\u011f began her acting career after winning the advertising star contest in 1988. Until 1988-1998 she acted in approximately 40 commercials. Around the same years, she joined the child actor group \u201c\u0130stanbul Culture Actors” and appeared in various children\u2019s plays. In 1998 she entered Mimar Sinan University State Conservatory Acting Department. In 2000, she went to the US to continue her acting studies in the San Francisco State University Drama Department. \u0130rem Altu\u011f, who has been taken part in both cinema and TV projects, was nominated for the best actress of the year in 2012 Sadri Al\u0131\u015f\u0131k Film Awards with her performance in the movie \u201cNar (Pomegranate).\u201d She has been teaching improvisation, drama, diction, and on-camera acting workshops in various schools for ten years. \u0130rem Altu\u011f has been writing short and feature film scripts. The short film \u201cDirek A\u015fk (Direct Love)\u201d she wrote and produced received more than twenty awards, including the most creative story award. She has been playing the character Ay\u015fe, in the TV drama \u201c\u00c7ukur (Hole)\u201d which has been in its 4th season.<\/p>\n
