Ameen Nayfeh

Ameen Nayfeh, born in Palestine in 1988, spent his formative years moving between Jordan and Palestine. Though he had an early interest in filmmaking, he initially pursued a B.Sc. in Nursing from Al-Quds University, which he completed in 2010. Two years later, he followed his passion and earned an MFA in film production from the Red Sea Institute of Cinematic Arts in Jordan, aiming to tell authentic stories from his region. In addition to writing and directing award-winning short films, Ameen completed his first feature narrative, *200 Meters*, in 2020. Starring Ali Suliman, the film premiered at the 77th Venice Film Festival, where it won the BNL People’s Choice Award at the Venice Days competition. It was also Jordan’s official submission to the 2021 Oscars and has since garnered 25 international film awards.
